Support Group for Parents of Children with Autism
For whom
The group is designed for parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who want to better understand their child, receive psychological support, and not face the challenges of parenting alone.
Purpose
Raising a child with autism can be accompanied by emotional strain, fatigue, and many questions.
The group helps parents:
-
receive psychological support;
-
better understand the characteristics of their child’s behavior and development;
-
exchange experiences with other parents;
-
find new ways to interact and build relationships with their child;
-
maintain their own emotional resources.
How the group works
Meetings take place in a small group of parents in an atmosphere of respect and confidentiality. Each meeting includes discussion of important topics, exchange of experiences among participants, and professional support from a psychologist. Participants also learn simple self-regulation and psychohygiene practices that help reduce stress and support inner balance.
